"The Overlander is about an hour outside of Jasper, which is perfect in my opinion. You can drive through a couple of wilderness corridors and stay away from the crowds in Jasper. Guests also have access to 5-6 great trails from the resort directly. Hinton is 15 minutes away for Gas and Fast Food (McD’s etc). The Stone Peak restaurant is excellent with great service. You can also book your tours on Maligne Lake or the Jasper SkyTram directly from the front desk with a 25% discount. Very cool...
"In the woods but only a mile from town, the Juniper Hotel was an ideal hotel for the area. The separation from town was great, and they had an hourly shuttle into and from town. We used it every day and it was to the minute. The shuttle driver was really friendly. We sat in the many Adirondack chairs lining the back of the hotel, with a view of town and the mountains.
