"I have visited this resort for about 20yrs. Alot of great memories. It's quiet, clear sea on doorstep with colourful fish. Nice ferry ride across. Accomodation good, TV reception, not good and no smart tv options. Food options very Asian, so finding something non-spicy and tasty a challenge. That's an easy fix. Shops on-site: bring back more interesting things to buy - before shops were full of locally made souvenirs, cotton clothing, jewellery incl earrings etc. Need some nik-naks to bring home. The staff as always, are marvellous!"

"This is not your typical sterile resort hotel, the same the world over, perfectly serviceable, but with no soul. Banyan Tree Bintan charmed us into loving the place. Yes, the drains may have been a little smelly at times, the doors didn't fit properly and our villa could have done with a refresh, but the privacy, the attention of the staff and the food were all exceptional. It felt like we were properly in Indonesia even though we were less than an hour ferry ride from Singapore. Our villa had an amazing view and was kept spotlessly clean. Housekeeping, delighted in leaving us towel sculptures and decorating our rooms with flowers. The infinity pools were stunningly beautiful and quiet. The massage at the spa was one of the best I've ever had. Staff were delightful, engaging, nothing was too much trouble and issues were dealt with swiftly. They clearly take pride in doing their best. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed - exactly what was needed."

"The room was generally clean and well kept. Staff were friendly and warm. One of the aircons in the restaurant was not working. During breakfast, the aircons were not turned on and it was very warm. Had to request them to turn on 1 aircon. They should turn on all aircon as the weather is very hot, and make it more comfortable for guests."
