"A beautiful hotel and well positioned. The hotel was at capacity so check-in was long and rooms were not ready either prior to check-in but 1 hour after. My superior room had a "faux" window and no possibilty to upgrade as the hotel was full. The cleaning staff were excellent and so meticulous. The team were so friendly. The food variety and quality in Shook was okay, not the best I have experienced for breakfast, we did not have lunch there as it was a fixed menu. The Dim Sum place was excellent. Having been at JW Marriott KL over 20 years ago, I believe it has lost its shine. The pool was only okay and small things like replacement of a cloth laundry bag for one use plastic is not good for the enviornment. TV Stations for the family was reduced from previously,"

"Stayed at the Journal for 3 nights in between long haul flights. The hotel was perfect and had all the necessary amenities. Spotlessly clean and friendly staff. Used the roof pool twice, drinks at the bar were excellent. Comfortable nights sleep with blackout blinds and comfortable bed and pillows. It was my partners birthday the day we arrived and the hotel decorated the room with balloons."

"Absolutely beautiful property and very convenient location. The restaurant downstairs was also very good (the mushroom panini was my go-to). Highly recommend for anyone staying in KL for a few days."

"Everything about the hotel was wonderful. It’s a really good transit hotel for so many reasons. I deeply appreciated that they will use a buggy cart type thing to pick you and your luggage up from the airport and bring you to the front desk. If I had to have walked that it would’ve taken a really long time because of how long the sky bridge is. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. We stayed on the lounge floor and while we got there too late to enjoy the lounge cocktail hour, they did serve tea at 11 PM and it was looseleaf which was so wonderful. The breakfast in the lounge was really good too."
