"The location is excellent and the view from this property is stunning! Literally walk out your front door and down the steps to the main road lining Varenna. Very walkable! We knew the age of the house based on pictures and description, which is why it was charming and felt “old Italy,” but age did show with some things, like the upstairs bathroom. "Amazing location and a spacious apartment. The views are stunning and everything you need is within walking distance. We stayed during the low season so many restaurants were not open but we still managed to eat well. Thanks for a lovely stay."

"We waited two hours in the rain to finally receive code for access. Was told to be there at 4:00, which forced us to hire driver for $500. Nobody ever met us, so the driver expense was a waste. Wonderful Italy was booking agent, and they were not wonderful I stayed in two other hotels on this trip, and I gave great reviews. I am not one to give a bad one, but this was terrible. "

"The apartment is quite high up the hill above Bellano in the suburb of Ombriaco. There is a (very steep!) footpath down to the town. Parking is on street and was easy, but beware as some of the parking nearest the apartment building has restrictions (yellow markings). The view from the balcony is spectacular. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, the washing machine is on the mezzanine in restricted headroom. There is a good supply of kitchen equipment. The only negative was that all the...
