"We stayed in a Deluxe Room the Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium for 5 nights, and we were disappointed. They put us on a floor that was undergoing renovations (our hallway was covered in painting tape and had unfinished light fixtures), and our room had non-functional ventilation and sparse seemingly unfinished decoration. Our room also had no view (despite advertising a city view) and the bathroom was smaller than advertised. We raised all of this after one night, and mid-way through our stay...

"This boutique hotel in the museum quarter was absolutely wonderful. Spacious double deluxe room, elevator, breakfast and lounge area with courtyard patio to relax, honesty system for drinks. Friendly helpful staff. Great neighbourhood, quiet and away from the tourists, yet very accessible to public transit, local restaurants and cafes. Highly recommend."

"Really mediocre hotel priced like an upscale lodging. Toilet ran, sink drain was clogged, had to insist on a change of towels. Many steep steps from street to front door. Breakfast was very good and location excellent. Many better choices available in Amsterdam."

You can walk to hub communities, pick up a bike from the hotel and ride the park, and pick up the #2 Tram to the canals easily from the hotel."

"Firstly the location of this lovely hotel is ideal ! On a canal on a quiet street but walkable to everything ! The staff greeted us with a smile Prosecco and were extremely helpful ( especially Helene )! The room was beautifully appointed with a mix of antiques and modern amenities and extremely clean and comfortable .. only negative were the stairs to the top since no elevators but worth the climb!!"

"There was a pair of dirty pants left in the room that had been missed by cleaners. It has some really narrow stairs and my daughter's were put in a room with a very narrow curved stairs which were dangerous and when I complained I was told there was no other rooms available and I also said we weren't offered any assistance with bags knowing they were in that room and was told I should have asked.
