"The place is a bit dated but far better than other properties in the same price range. Rooms are spacious by old London standards; more like a standard North American room. "Stayed in one of their more basic rooms for one night - would recommend!
The room was clean, but there was a few things!
- make up marks on the clean white towels.
- stains & marks on the bed side tables
- coffee and tea station but no kettle was available in our room to actually make those things with?!
The room was clean enough, secure and very quiet, the hotel itself is lovely, the staff are very polite and helpful, but the rooms could use just a little tlc.
All being said, we loved...

"I am not sure if this can be in Hotel category.
The room description is misleading in the Expedia website as the beds are bunk beds.
The rooms don’t have phone to contact the lobby and every time you should go downstairs to lobby and elevator is not in every level.
The A/C in our room not working and there was no maintenance to fix it before our check out.
Very uncomfortable hotel.
Location was ok and the breakfast was acceptable though.
The hotel management was not responsive to my requests...

"This was my third time staying at the Chesterfield Mayfair. The staff are always very welcoming and helpful-getting taxis, and service inside the restaurant for breakfast, for example. And they were accommodating to my special request to have a room equipped with walk-in shower. And the breakfast offerings and dinner at their Butler’s restaurant were excellent."

"I missed my flight to London so I was a day late checking in to our room. I called the hotel as soon as I realized I could not get to London in time. When I arrived the next day the clerk could not find my reservation then said I was a no show. When she finally found my reservation she could not find my breakfast payment. I’m not sure if it was incompetence or a software problem. I n the end I got my room."
