"We were met with a friendly staff member who gave us advice on how to navigate around the roadworks as it had taken us a while to find a way in due to road closures. The room was lovely, very clean, good amenities, nice big shower and comfy beds and pillows. We had a drink and food in the bar area which had a really nice atmosphere and the breakfast in the morning was well organised and very enjoyable. "A rather old fashioned hotel Huge room 208 and very large bathroom Surprised to get an excellent jacket potato with tuna cheese and salad for supper ! "

"Excellent overnight stay. Our room was much bigger and quieter than expected after reading some reviews. Main area had a comfy double bed with plenty of space around it, bedside units, long dressing table and large tv. There was a big dressing area with clothes storage and then a good size bathroom.
