"Please be aware that this hotel has been taken over by OYO.
If I’d have known this prior to booking I wouldn’t have proceeded to book.
I thought we were booking the Mecure but on arrival it was evident that OYO have taken over this hotel.
The room was dirty and tired.
Asked for a new room but they had none available.
The only plus point was that the Young lad on reception was helpful and understanding and this wasn’t his fault.
But for the price we paid for the room it was unacceptable."

"Now it's been refurbished it's a good hotel right in the heart of the city. The discount to park the car at Q Car Parks is very helpful. Room was very well maintained with fully functioning AC after a very hot week. One point, it's only a point not a criticism, we always like to have the windows open and breather a sigh of relief when we find a hotel that allows this. "The room was dirty including the ‘clean’ bedding which was hairy. The bed was built by Ikea flat pack and someone’s hopes and dreams which did not come true - it creaked with every move!
The room was spacious but what’s the point! It was hot with limited windows to open because of H&S but I had to prop one open with a spoon as the restrictor was broken. Only one set of towels despite the booking being for 2 people. The location is heart of city centre which was perfect except for noise until 3am...
