"Breakfast buffet was great, restocked regularly, and we were seated quickly.
We had dinner there on our second day, and the pork steak was the best Ive had, as was the chocolate sundae.
The swimming facilities are clean and well lit, and aside from the discomfort of a random man watching me from the sauna the entire time my friend and I were there, it was a pleasant experience. We ended up leaving the pool because of the creeper and didn't go back. Luckily changing rooms are separated by gender...

"The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. There was a good selection of tea and coffee and soap, shower gel etc. The pub and restaurant attached was fantastic and the food really lovely. We will definitely stay again"

"Really nice looking property with easy parking. Food was excellent and location was out of the way quiet but still easy to get to.
Some negatives was that the matteress was old and soft so you rolled toward the center and one of the receptionists had limited people skills. No conversation loke 'good morning, how was your stay.... anything and one of the advertised benefits of that roaring fire was not kept alight so any though of having a drink after dinner infront of it ..you can forget....

"This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District."
