"I enjoyed our stay here. The staff are very friendly and acomodating. We did the takoyaki cooking class and had a great time. The onsen was peaceful. For those who want to know sleeping, on the mats is pretty much like camping. If you don't enjoy a sleeping bag then this will be a problem for you. Personally would recomend staying here as its not far from the station and compared to other places you dont have yo walk uphill that much."

"Very nice Ryokan situated in a beautiful part of Hakone. The area in general is hilly and difficult to get around but that’s true of anywhere in Hakone. This is located very close to Gora station which is as convenient as it gets whether you want to sightsee in Owakudani or head back towards Odawara station. The dinner and breakfast are very generous serving hearty regional cuisine. The amenities are top notch and exactly what you want for your Ryokan getaway."

"Ce séjour a été une expérience hors du commun. Nous avons été accueilli avec soin. Le fait de manger à genoux sur une table basse, de dormir sur des futons et de se détendre dans les onsens ont été des moments inoubliables. Les repas étaient de grande qualité et préparés avec soin mais malheureusement nous n’avons pas pu les apprécier à leur juste valeur car trop éloignés de nos goûts français 😄"

"I had an amazing stay at Marroad. On the outside, it looks a bit outdated, but the interiors are well maintained. I absolutely loved my room — it had been renovated, everything looked new, and it was both spacious and cozy. The staff were very kind and attentive. Another nice thing to mention is that they offer a free shuttle service from Gora Station to the hotel; you just have to call upon arrival."

"We had a great time staying here while exploring Hakone. This place is located close to bus routes that took us to and back from Gora, while being in a quiet street perfect for relaxing at night. The two attendants at the main counter were extremely helpful and nice, and tried their best to accommodate to our requests."

"Very close to Yunessan. The hotel also has its own public bath. A bit of a vintage location with very friendly staff that are very accommodating to foreigners as well."

"This is a Premium high $$$ stay, you will feel very fancy here. The private Onsen is the best I have ever had the pleasure of using (it is 1000% worth the surcharge) The only issues I had with my stay were some inconsistencies with the online posting and the english room instructions they appeared a little out of date (for example they both listed a dinner that was not available for our stay)"
