"The cabin style room I stayed in was clean and spacious. I LOVED the Viking theme of it all and it is the main reason I picked this hotel. Breakfast was a big plus and I really enjoyed my meals at the restaurant. The sauna was wonderful and although the hot tub is small and tucked next to room windows, it still felt private. I would 100% stay here again! "

"Everything about this property worked great for our stay. Staff and facilities were excellent. Please note that this site is very close to the regional airport where the tourist helicopters depart from, so there is quite a lot of noise during the day. "The family running the guest house was so kind and helpful. The two children were delightful. Busy and active but very respectful and inquisitive at the same time. Although not the Ritz Carlton, the guesthouse was clean and comfortable. I would certainly stay again."

"I did not get my check in instructions ahead of time and was locked out on the first night. I had to pay 244 euros for a hotel. Neither summer day nor Expedia would refund me. Fraud as they blamed each other. The internet did not work in my room and the person who responded could only say “good luck”. Horrible place to stay. Would not recommend either summer day or Expedia. "

"This was my second stay at the Fishermans Village after staying last year too. Experience was again great, the parking was easy and it was nice and quiet around the premise. Easy access to the surrounding water with the views being brilliant, particularly at sunrise and sunset! Álftanes is a great place to stay if you have a car and aim to travel around the west of Iceland. "

"Only the bare minimum was available in the kitchen. Bring your own corkscrew and knives! We had to pay a lot for extra cleaning of the room and then noticed they had not done much, not changed the sheets nor cleaned the bathroom. There was a lot of dust behind and under couch.... "

"Quite simply, incredible. From the moment we arrived we received a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. The location is beautiful, clean warm spacious rooms and so very peaceful. We have travelled far and wide across many countries in many hotels and Kriunes tops the list. When we return to Iceland we will not consider anywhere else other than Kriunes. A huge thank you from my wife and I and we hope to return and live the experience all over again."
