Overall, our stay was good and we enjoyed it. The place itself was nice and everything was comfortable. However, the breakfast could have been better. There was food available and it was alright, but for the price we paid, we were hoping for more variety and better options. The selection felt quite limited and there wasn’t much to choose from. With a bit more effort put into breakfast, this would have been a much better experience.
The staff was very welcoming and professional. Loved the work out facilities, sauna, cold plunge and hot-tub. Breakfast was very good with healthy options.
The breakfast selection was excellent and delicious! The front desk staff were very helpful and were always ready to answer any questions we had during our stay. I highly recommend Hotel Vellir. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, and the location is excellent. It offers easy access to the highway towards Reykjavik or to Keflavik airport, making everyday road trips a breeze.
Wonderful value for the money, hottub didnt have any steps to get into it but it looked like they were working on it. Sauna. And great gym available. Glass artwork throughout the hotel was actually for sale! Breakfast was minimal but sufficient, thin waffles, boiled eggs, dry cereal, and yogurt available 7-10. I would stay here again! No fridge or microwave in the room but didnt need jt.
We had a wonderful stay! The room was cleaned daily, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and they even prepared us a to go breakfast since we were checking out before breakfast hours. Their attention to detail really made our trip special.
Everyone was extremely friendly. The hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was delicious and had several options. Only complaint would be the odd smell throughout the rooms and hallways.
Very nice property that was easy to access from the highway. Local food markets and bistro/bar are right there. Access to the gym facilities next store with sauna and hot tub is part of your stay. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the local activities! Definitely would stay there again on our next trip!
Clean and comfortable room and hotel looks new. Awesome water pressure in the shower which seems to be a rarity in Iceland. Very nice staff and good breakfast (the bread is excellent ). Easy to get everywhere from this hotel. Lots of parking. Would absolutely stay here again
I’m very happy to stay at Hotel Vellir during my 5 nights vacation here. Clean, great breakfast , all staff very nice , good service , big parking lot, They have big gym, sauna and jacuzzi for free in next door. Recommend 👍😊
Didn’t spend much time here but sports bar food was ok. Breakfast was included more of continental style with local flare. It is all pretty pricey in Iceland already and then add on hotel mark up for food but price of the hotel was decent for the quality.
Stayed at this hotel twice, once in the beginning, and also at the end of our trip around Iceland. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Lots of well lit parking, it’s just off the highway, but quiet, We preferred the rooms on the back of the building. The breakfast was excellent, and the tv actually had some good channels.
