"This property is wonderful.. it's out in the country. Probably 20 miles from Saracusa,
And that is what the issue is: If you drive to the property, no problem at all. But if you take a taxi, be prepared to exist on only the breakfast that they offer. The breakfast is wonderful, no hot food, but everything else you could ask for in a bed and breakfast-tyoe breakfast. But there is no lunch or dinner available. So if you take a taxi you're going to have to be very imaginative about how to eat for...
"We enjoyed our staying at B&B Le Saline. Stefano is a wonderful and attentive host who uses his artistic talent to make your staying confortabile and appetizing. With his breakfast, one begins the day with Sicilian flavors and creativity!
The location is great because is just about 10 min by car from Ortigia, and is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. "
"Amazing place to stay! Modern, cute, and clean and close to everything! Only thing was water seeping out from the side of the toilet or floor faucet but other than that everything was perfect! "

Grand Hotel Des Ètrangers - The Leading Hotels of the World
10/10 Excellent
"First time in Syracuse and this hotel perfectly met our needs in terms of facilities and location. It’s expensive - especially for the sea view rooms, but they are very nice and the view is lovely from them. I would use this hotel again if staying in Syracuse."

So if you take a taxi you're going to have to be very imaginative about how to eat for the rest of the day. Even if you drive, you're looking at a significant drive into town to find a normal restaurant or bar. There are small markets near the facility, but they also require a car to reach them.
I was completely amazed by the staff, however. They helped me every single moment of my stay, including how to secure pizzas on a couple nights to prevent myself from starving!"
"This is an outstanding resort hotel right in the heart of Ortigia, the beautiful historic center of Syracuse, Sicily. The hotel is full of light and you'll be mesmerized by waking up with the azure of the sky and the Mediterranean Sea in front of view, enchanted by the reflection of the sunshine. The rooms are comfortable. The staff is exceptionally friendly, professional, attentive and kind. Breakfast is delicious. An absolute gem!!"
"Hotel is very good and the staff and amenities are excellent. Great rooftop restaurant and bar with a great view. Our room was rather small and the bathroom was barely manageable because it was so small and they crammed in the bidet and shower. But, that is probably our fault as we booked a basic room. The wifi also was very weak and not effective most of the time. Breakfast was very good and parking was very convenient."
