The room was neglected. Room 1 was covered in mold in the bathroom and along the window. My wife and I were ill after staying in the room one night.
Additionally, the bathoom door would barely open. The sink and shower were stopped up. The mattress is about 4 inches thick and soft as a brick. The chandelier was taped to the ceiling, none of the pictures on the listing reflect the room we stayed in.
My parents stayed in a Junior Suite and their room was not any better. There room smelled worse and it was clear that the mold in their room has been painted over.
Ultimately we checked out early. We originally booked for 9 nights. We stayed one night. The manager would only refund 6 nights because he claimed there was a 3 night minimum. I can book this hotel for 1 night, so I guess that was a lie.
I also paid the city tax for 9 nights and was told I would receive a refund for the nights we didn't stay. Over a week later and I still haven't received the refund, so I had to dispute the charge with the credit card. I guess this was also a lie.
I reached out to Expedia for a full refund, as we only received a partial refund and they were not helpful. They were sent pictures of the mold and didn't seem to care. I won't be using Expedia in the future because I am uncertain if there listings are safe for my health and they have limited recourse to protect their customers.
In conclusion, we left this B&B after one night, were charged over $1200 (USD) for 1 night, 2 rooms.
