"Had a lovely stay at The Scholar. The hotel has spacious rooms, lounge and restaurant. It has recently been renovated and rooms are very clean and spacious with friendly staff. It was my boyfriend’s 40th Birthday and they put a lovely note and chocolate in the room and gave us a glass of Prosecco! We loved the food at the Abacus restaurant and the breakfast choice was great. Located 20 mins walk into Edinburgh or you can take the bus from outside the commonwealth pool. "Quarto impecável, lençóis limpos e macios, toalhas limpas, a equipe muito gentil, o hotel é pequeno, mas muito limpo e organizado! Ao lado do hotel tem um pub que serve uma comida deliciosa! Em frente ao hotel tem parada de ônibus que vai direto ao centro de Edimburgo. O café da manhã é delicioso! Eu amei tudo! "

"Sorry that there was no elevator, but because it is an historical property, it can not be installed. Staff was wonderful and breakfast and the room it was served was beautiful. Well worth the money if you can do 47 steps to the top floor. Were in our late 70’s and we did it!!!! Great spot and great people running it."
