"I loved my stay at the Brae. It was the perfect place to get over jet lag as I embarked on a one-month vacation of the U.K. It’s a couple of miles outside of town, and the bus to downtown stops right in front of the house, which was perfect. Very comfortable for sleeping. Having a bath tub to soak in after a day full of walking was heaven. Graeme was an extremely welcoming and informative host. Definitely recommend t He Stay at the Brae."

"This is a wonderful property. Close to the attractions of the old city, but away from the hustle and bustle. You will feel like you're in an oasis amid the crowds. We were three people traveling and had a nice sized family room. The toiletries are fantastic, and if I'd had room in my suitcase, I would have bought a bottle of the lotion. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable."

"Great value stay. Breakfast was great with a selection of hot food and lots of fruit options. Front desk and maintenance staff were very nice and were working hard. Room was a university dorm with a lot of wear and tear, but that is reflected in the price. Lots of buses and about a 25min walk to Old Town."

"Excellent and friendly welcome, room was checked over before giving us the keys, answered our questions (regarding public transport to Edinburgh). Good night’s sleep, comfortable and quiet. "Sorry that there was no elevator, but because it is an historical property, it can not be installed. Staff was wonderful and breakfast and the room it was served was beautiful. Well worth the money if you can do 47 steps to the top floor. Were in our late 70’s and we did it!!!! Great spot and great people running it."

"Easy to access, bustop right outside. It took 25 min to Edinburgh by bus. Our room (with private bathroom) was clean and nice. It was kind of thin walls though, we could all hear each other. We were only there for 3 nights, but we would recommend it! "
