"Place was so welcoming and inviting with a very cozy living room/front desk area. Fun Appalachian/Black Bear (“Appy”) theme all throughout hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful—even got an earring for me that had fallen down the drain. Adirondack chairs out front to enjoy view from. "Wonderful place, nicest hotel i have ever stayed in"

"Excellent weekend stay. Property is well located to enjoy all of the activities Gatlinburg has to offer, but removed from the overly crowded area so you have peace and quiet in the evening. Balcony overlooking the Little Pigeon River provided a welcome respite from the heat of the day. Property is well maintained. Friendly, helpful staff. Very accomodating for my companionndog. Will definitely be back."

"A very cute and simple motel that is conveniently located away from the busy area but just across the street from the free trolley so it was easily accessible. The weekend breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed sitting and watching the water off of our balcony and all of the fireflies in the evening."

"Room was clean and parking was plenty and easy to find. Breakfast was ok, it didn’t change from one day to the next but it’s a quick place to grab something before going about your adventures. The free trolley to take you all over Gatlinburg is right in front of the hotel. It’s very close to the places to go to such as Annekesta and skypark. Not too far away either from the trails of Smokey Mountain National Park"

"Somewhat my fault for not recognizing this is sort of a hybrid Bed and Breakfast/VRBO type facility. Expedia did not really make that clear. Requires signing up for check-in web app to get entry code. No on-sight desk staff. Not a problem, but should be more prominent on Expedia listing. Promised evening dining options were not available due to apparent staff turnover. We had hoped to have a quick evening dining option that did not require driving/parking in Gatlinburg (roughly 1 mile...

"Staff was wonderful. Room was large and clean with two sinks. Parking was wonderful with a spot for our car and u-haul. Walking distance to all the attractions and Sky Bridge. Quiet room. Our fire alarm needed a new battery when we arrived and the staff came immediately to fix it. My only complaint was that the water didn’t drain from the shower very well so I had to stand in water while I showered. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again."

"Beautiful view from our balcony. Room was very spacious, bed was comfortable. Pool was fun, and we loved the waterfall at the pool. A decent walking distance from the down town, but separated enough to where you feel not crammed with people. Perfect more low-key place for relaxing. We had a great time."

"This is a great hotel. Been staying there since it was opened in the 70s. Was glad to see it was refurbished years ago. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Climate control worked well. Ample parking. Staff was very attentive. Good location away from the bustle of downtown Gatlinburg but right on the free trolley stop."
