"this was the absolute best place to stay in memphis! it’s exactly as shown in the photos, but somehow better? the room’s flourishes were so thoughtful. we were greeted by squirrels in the morning. the hosts were communicative & the whole process was smooth! we will definitely stay here again! oh & the shower.. the water pressure is perfect & the shower gel/hair products smell divine!"

"We stayed in the fly fishing cabin. 2 adults, 2 teens. Had to pay 32 dollars per night extra for a rollaway bed. No soap or shampoo dispenser in shower, so be sure to pack yours. No coffee or tea in lobby. The Walburgerz Wild is not a wild menu, waitstaff said go to Boston for venison burgers. The 2 night stay was ok, but the property boasts ‘world class accommodations’ I don’t feel that is what we got. "The rooftop bar was never open during our stay, which was disappointing. The room was big, though the bathroom opened right into the bed area with only a separation for the toilet/shower which made use of the sink area a disturbance if someone was already in bed. Low water pressure, but bearable. It is a historic building so lots of creaks and odd sounds especially at night. The lobby doors stay locked 24/7 and parking is valet only, which we suspected may be due to some security concerns...

"We enjoyed our two nights a Hu. Hotel. The location is fantastic. For a downtown hotel the parking arrangement at a garage across the street is convenient (although expensive). The staff (and particularly the concierge Dedrick) were extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. "Room was nice and loaction is good. The breakfast is very expensive. The thing that lets it down are the bar staff and some at breakfast (but not all). One bar staff member was rude and arrogant, the worst we come across on our road trip, if you don't want to work here just get another job. "

"Great location, staff was very helpful - one night we were locked out of the parking lot because they lock the gate at a certain hour. However, the valet attendant recognized our car and opened the gate, so we didn't have to go all the way around the building. This was wonderful because I just had foot surgery and really didn't plan to have to walk a long distance. "

"We chose the property based on the photos showing an eclectic design. Our room has an original brick wall and the dual windows were original bay style. I don't typically sit in a lobby but there's was so inviting we did and visited with the staff. The bar/coffee was also fun to visit with the staff! Very friendly and inviting! It is a corner location and on the third floor there was NO traffic noise. And no sirens during the night."
