"We enjoyed the Bologna house. It was high up on the hill and could only get there by taxi or bus. Very seldom were we able to find an available taxi and the bus just drove past where we stayed. When we called the property manager and said we were having trouble getting rides, he hung up on us. Property was nice but not a place I would return to."

"Literally, the best apartment in Varenna ! The views are breathtaking. You have a short way down and back thatโs a bit challenging but fully worth it. We saw it as our daily exercise. 100% recommend it. Far from the chaos of Varenna town but close enough to enjoy it."

"All staff were very pleasant, Swimming pool bar, breakfast and reception all lovely and very helpful. We had a faulty plug in our sink. A maintenance man came to repair it before we even reported it, I assume the housekeeper had noticed it and had it fixed. Swimming pool was lovely and clean. Would definitely recommend staying here. Location perfect."

"A four-star boutique hotel with the standards of a five-star property. The rooms and restaurant are definitely five-star quality. The pool is large and never too crowded, and there is also a small beach if you want to swim in the lake. Just bear in mind that the hotel is not easy to reach. You either need to drive your own car or arrange a car service. For example, the fare from the hotel to Milan is โฌ240. Local buses are very crowded and can be almost impossible to board."
