"Stayed here for one night prior to attending an event in central Nottingham the next day. Only a short drive from the M1 and about 15 mins drive from Nottingham. Large free car park at the hotel. The hotel itself any my room were in excellent condition and very clean. Everything worked, all the staff were friendly and helpful and I was able to set myself up for the day with a good breakfast before I left."
"The hotel was old and in need of a good clean and paint. Our room was everything but clean, old carpet and worse still stained mattress. Never again."
"Loved our stay at St James will definitely be back! Situated in a lovely area, room was clean and comfortable all you need. Unfortunately we visited when the restaurant was out of action for refurbishment but plenty of local places to eat which were great."
"Very convenient but the hotel is very tired and needs some TLC. There is blown plaster everywhere from damp, old air on unit spitting out dust, holes in the floorboards in the bathroom covered by lino. Just generally past its best.
Location is great if you’re looking to stay in the centre but it’s ok at best. Particularly for the price. Staff were pleasant enough though and it’s attached to a pub which is a bonus."
"Lovely overnight stay with our dog.
One small point, I would have liked it to have been clearer, when booking online, of the additional cost of £30. for our dog to stay overnight. I did not see.
Thank you. 😊"
