"This is the second and the last time I stay at the Palmer. I like the proximity to certain landmarks and the beds were comfy but other than that, the bathroom wasn't clean, there was a lot of hair in the tub, the shower faucet handle was filled with black scum on the inside. There was also a piece undone metal on the bottom of the vanity that scraped my kid's foot. There was no complimentary coffee/tea which added to the disappointment. I was too tired to ask for a different room with 2 kids...

"Overall, we had a good stay at the Freehand Chicago. The location was convenient, and despite being in a busy area, we slept peacefully throughout the night. The hotel was also accommodating in holding our luggage after checkout since we had a later flight, which we appreciated. That said, there were several areas that could be improved. "Excellent location - central to everything. Super easy to get right to the hotel from the Blue Line (O’Hare), and easy to get to all the other lines and buses to tour the sights. Only 15-min walk to Willis tower, Riverwalk, Art Institute, Millennium park. Hotel staff were all really welcoming and helpful. The room was perfect - clean, very comfortable beds. Thumbs up - highly recommend to travelers, and we’d stay here again if we come back to Chicago."

"Really didn’t like how loud the hotel doors were when they slammed. It’s the loudest thing and it’s really not helpful when cleaning staff is there all day slamming doors constantly. It’s also not great when you have kids screaming and playing and slamming the door for an hour and a half and having to deal with that."

"Loved the Royal Sonesta! The beds and pillows were all very soft and not our preference, but we still loved our stay. The signature lobby scent smelled so good! (Is there a Sonesta Lobby candle I can buy!? lol). The location could not be better in downtown Chicago. Staff was so friendly. 10/10 would recommend!"

"Wonderful building, strategically well located in a very beautiful Chicago area, staff is super friendly and accommodating, I got there early and they had no problem assigning my room inmediatly, I booked a panoramic room, the view was breathtaking!! The restaurant service is also great, I had a delicious breakfast and they have a very appealing brunch package. I will be coming back every time I have to work in Chicago!"
