The location is ideal and the property is well kept. The room got warm and when I mentioned it to the front desk, they put in a window AC unit which solved the problem. Staff was very helpful

The room was a bit more spacious than others in the area and included a kitchenette. The rooms were visibly old and dated but still functional. It was also quiet with almost no street noise heard in the room. Hot water was a problem and usually not available in the morning. I was only able to take warm baths in the evening. The elevator was also very slow I ended up using the stairs even when carrying my luggage. Staff were efficient and helpful!

The kitchen was fully equipped. The room was kept clean and the staff are kind. (You need to wash your own dishes, though.) Nice bed that’s not too soft. I was able to sleep well. I like the classical decorations. I wish the cost could be a little more affordable… But I would stay again.

Everything was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The lobby area was nice and comfortable if you wanted to wait there, and you can drop off your bags with the front desk and go have some fun while they get your room ready for you if you get there early. I will be staying here when I visit NYC from now on!

I stayed here twice. First rental was spacious with large kitchen. Second rental had a small room and minimal kitchen area. I had to request a heater since the room was cold. This is a historic decorative building, so don't expect everything to be pristine and elevator can be slow, but I still recommend it. Excellent location near many restaurants and sightseeing highlights. This is in the center of Times Square, so expect city noise like all rentals in New York City. Friendly staff.

Clean room. Host was super nice when we wanted to switch rooms. (Our first room had a much firmer bed than we wanted). They watched our bags after we checked out. Overall super easy and smooth process! Can’t beat the location.

It is beyond my comprehension how this place has a 9 "excellent" rating. 1. It has single pane windows that do not keep out the cold air or sound. 2. There is no thermostat. If you like to sleep in a cold room, this is not the place for you. Unless you sleep in the tub (see next point). 3. For cold weather stays, there is no heat in the bathroom. The room has one radiator in the main living area. If it is cold out, you will freeze in the bathroom. 4. There is not hot water re-circulator. You will waste many many gallons of water trying to get it hot. (To save time with the sink, run the hot water in the tub to get it hotter faster. 5. As I said, it is a very old building with single pane windows. You will hear everything from outside - including the garbage trucks at 5 am. 6. They still use old brass keys. I have no idea what would stop someone from getting copies made and then returning and just let themselves into that room in the future. The only positives are the location (great if you want to stay in Times Square), size of room (large for NYC) and service: they allowed me to leave after one night and refunded my pre-paid second night (through Expedia). It is not 3.5 stars accommodation. Three is generous given the age of the place.

Love this place! We've stayed here before and happy to be back. The kitchen was stocked well, beds were comfortable, and plenty of space. The best part is the proximity to Times Square and multiple options for subway. Will happily stay here again.

The place was great. I love the fact that they have a full kitchen for you if you have a long stay and want to save money on eating out constantly. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. great place to stay! The location is perfect — close to great food, Times Square, and tons of shows. We had two queen studio apartments and they worked out really well. The view was nice, and my bathroom had been recently remodeled which was a great bonus. The only small downside was that it was warm the first day we arrived and the room doesn’t have AC, so it felt a little hot at first. Luckily, the building is in a great spot to crack the windows and once we did, the breeze cooled the room down quickly. The staff was also very friendly from the moment we arrived, which made the stay even better.
