"It wasn’t made clear when I booked that there was a wedding on. So none of the amenities were available. Literally just the room. No air-conditioning. No coffee available downstairs in the morning either about 10.30am?? Don’t recommend."

"Great location. Beautiful outside terrace with great food. Service is friendly but not as quick as we would have liked. Restaurant food is great too. Spa booked up way in advance so could not use that for this stay. We would happily return."

"My hotel of choice when staying in Newmarket, an easy walk into the town for shopping etc. staff very friendly and the breakfasts are excellent. I always try and get a superior room and they are very large and comfortable, better than the bed I have at home."

"Please note that if you stay at this hotel on a Friday or Saturday night, it will be very noisy. Music is played until 1am, so it’s difficult to get any sleep before then. The general cleanliness is acceptable, but there was some mould in the bathroom and the window blind was broken. It’s fine as a basic place to stay, but if you’re hoping for a good night’s sleep, this may not be the best choice."

"The pub is friendly with good food and staff. The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. "

"Honestly could not fault this place at all. Staff very welcoming and attentive. If things were not available in your room they would be more than happy to help and provide eg. Iron and Iron Board. The breakfast was amazing and the fresh pastel del nata was even better than what I’ve had in Portugal! 10/10 recommend "

"Great place to stay if you’re off to the races, 15mins by car or Taxi. The pub does not provide a breakfast but their evening meals are good, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are at the back of the pub and have ensuite bathrooms, tea, coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The linen and towels were all fresh and the bed very comfortable. "

"When I checked images hotels looks in decent condition however when I turned up, it was a Indian restaurant, hallway smelled of strong curry, the room they gave me was a room converted from bathroom to bedroom, it felt like a refugee camp rather than a hotel "

"The lodging here was so beautiful, small style cabins that are modern with a great view and a small garden out back. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The restaurant next to the lodging was amazing, staff were so nice and helpful and the food was delicious. I will definitely be coming back."

"We loved everything about our stay here. The staff was amazing! Easy to talk to, and always available for any questions we had. The rooms were great. Big room with a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"Sian, the landlady is wonderful -- friendly and extremely helpful. Hotel's.com said there are laundry facilities but this is not true. BUT Sian did our laundry for us. We stayed in the annex but no one who was mobility problems, or is tall or heavy should stay there -- it is difficult to maneuver under the low ceilings. "

"Super cute establishment! Room was super clean, room service came every day and replenished everything. 2 complimentary bottles of water provided every day. Staff literally bent over backwards to accommodate every step of the way. The restaurant was absolutely fire!!"

"Guess we should have realised from the price. This is well located but very basic. The bar below is a noisy club. We didn't mind that, but others might. The room was clean but very basic. Bathroom and toilets shared down a flight of stairs. The staff were lovely. "

Unfortunately the music from the reception area was booming all day and night so I got little to no sleep. Very disappointing when on a business trip and needing to be well rested the next day.
