"Room was nice, modern and quiet. The only issues were (I) that the king bed barely fit in the one bedroom apartment (was very hard to get in and out) and (II) while we put a please clean sign for the room both days that we went out, it was never cleaned."

"The room was clean, the bed comfortable. The walls are thin so sound from adjoining rooms is audible but my sleep was not disturbed. The toilet does not have a good flush. The bathroom was clean, warm. The shower was excellent and the towels soft and luxuriant. I liked the option of a bath but didn't use it. The staff were attentive, cheerful, helpful. Breakfast was good and was substantial. Evening meal on one night was excellent but not so good on the other."

"Plenty of free secure parking, nice grounds, outside of buildings and garden areas very tidy and clean. Easy check in, cheerful and helpful staff, especially in restaurant and bar area. Room was tidy, clean and very comfortable with a good view of a horse stables and training yard. Lovely to see the horses with their heads popping out of the stables, and the stable staff taking them for exercise. Hotel is nice and close to Newmarket town, easy 10 minute walk, and you get the chance to see the horses and jockeys training as you walk along the path towards the town. Added bonus is an hourly bus to the lovely city of Ely, takes 30 > 40 minutes ride. Allows you to go out without having to drive. Would love to visit hotel again."

"Doors need seeing to. Fire doors, bedroom doors need to have a slow closing fitted to them constant banging doors throughout our stay. Rooms could do with some update they are clean but outdated and paint peeling away."
