"I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. When I checked in, there was leftover food in the room that hadn’t been cleaned, and the bed was clearly dirty. The staff was not helpful when handling the situation — they moved me from a nice room on the 5th floor with a good view to a much worse room on the 2nd floor. To make things worse, there were small flies in the room every day. It became exhausting to deal with, and I eventually gave up asking for it to be cleaned properly. It’s truly unacceptable for a 4-star hotel to have the quality of a 1-star. I would not recommend staying here."

"The fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night, and the staff were not very helpful.and check out is 10am unless you pay "

"The hotel exceeded all expectations. We arrived and our room was not quite ready. The check in staff offered us a voucher for two glasses of champagne while we waited; they then come to find us to tell us the room was ready and they had upgraded us. We had a lovely room with a nice view. On the way back after dinner we stopped at 12th knot for a couple of cocktails and enjoyed the atmosphere and great view over St Paul’s. Our room was on the 9th floor, not the biggest room we have ever stayed at, but a good size, with a nice bathroom and decent amenities. My only comment is that it would be nice if there was a mirror by the desk so that it can be used as a dresser. The bed was comfortable and the hotel quiet, no slamming doors through the night like in other hotels. A very enjoyable stay. "

"Great overnight stay, ideal location for walking to Covent Garden area, and Heathrow transport. Twin room was very comfortable, although the shower/bath layout was a bit awkward due to the ceiling on 6th floor. Will definitely be back! "

"The room was very clean and the staff were friendly and nice at check in. Something to be aware of - the noise from the street was quite loud during the night. However I travel with earplugs and was expecting that in a hotel so central in London, so it didn’t cause me any major issues. The heater also wasn’t very warm but the room wasn’t super cold without it. The location is great, a very short walk to King’s Cross, and about a half hours walk into Soho/the west end if you’re in town for theatre!"

"Centrally located and a safe, clean, and comfortable space to come back to after busy days exploring London. The lobby is quite busy with folks working and enjoying the space, but never found it hard to grab a seat and a coffee before heading out for the day. Would stay here again. "

"Overall great experience at Strand Palace. Fabulous location in Covent Garden with access to restaurants, stores, theatre and three different Underground stations each within 1/4. Lovely, clean and updated rooms and lobby. Staff very helpful. Breakfast great and plentiful. I would stay again there for sure. "

"Was was dated but clean. No tea or coffee or kettle in the room. The vending machine sticks so don’t use for water or you may pay 2/3 times before getting one. Tried to book a late check out on line but no response so paid at the desk. Then was asked to pay again by an email link. Best thing was some of the staff. The breakfast in the à la carte was excellent. In the buffet the toaster was on fine, took 3 visits to the coffee station and the orange juice was disgustingly sweet. "
