"Really enjoyed our short stay and visiting this area. Walkable distance from the station and lake. A full Japanese-style breakfast was beautifully presented with some alternatives also on offer - fruit, eggs, bacon etc. We visited in May when the hotel and Suwa generally were very quiet so we were able to enjoy the hotel facilitie - the modern reception area and onsen. Good size room with twin beds. Go for one with a lake view if possible."

"Easy to park. Wife would give it 4 stars. 6 yr old would give 5 stars for the rock climbing wall. No lift for 2nd floor rooms and would have life more space to open suitcases but overall nice place to stay."

"The staff were friendly and the breakfast was simple (green salad, two egg fries, bread with butter and jam, fruits, and a pot of coffee or black tea) but delicious. Personally I liked Peppermint’s breakfast better than buffet breakfast, because we ate everything that’s served. No waste, so eco-friendly. Another thing we liked was a nearby museum. "The room size for 2 was adequate, but not much extra space for suitcase storage. The hotel location is close to a main road with lots of dining options, but if you don't have a car to drive, the location is a 15 minute walk to the nearest train station. The buffet breakfast wasn't something I signed up for when making the reservation, but for some reason, for the two nights we stayed there, the buffet was "sold out", so breakfast was unavailable. Otherwise it was a nice stay, and the staff kindly let us check in a little early when we arrived ahead of schedule."
