The other meals aren’t at the same high standard but there’s plenty of choice elsewhere nearby. Rooms are basic but clean and the hotel staff are fantastic. If you go at Xmas the hotel even has its own elves to deliver presents for kids on Xmas day ;)"

"Great staff--they do everything they can to insure a great stay. Loaned us umbrellas, beach stuff, a shopping cart--plus lots of ideas on what to do. It is far enough away from the waterfront to be quieter, but just down the street from a major mall and an easy walk to the waterfront or there is a busline a block away.It is NOT the "Ritz"--but had a great pool that was empty most of the time and felt much more personal than a chain hotel."

"We had a fantastic stay at Pullman Cairns International and would absolutely recommend it. From check-in to check-out, the staff were incredibly courteous, welcoming, and professional. Housekeeping did an excellent job. You indicate when you would like your room cleaned. The room itself was very spacious and well-appointed, with all the amenities you could possibly need, making it extremely comfortable for a longer stay.
