"The hotel was great! I should have done a bit more research though on the activities & entertainment that was provided. I assumed that since they had water slides and a children’s area, that it wouldn’t be so catered to drunk young adults. It is definitely a party place! If you want to party, then stay in the RIU Party area (buildings 6-9); otherwise, if you’re travelling with children, stay in buildings 1-5. It’s not uncommon to have very loud, drunk people screaming & yelling & still partying when they get back to their rooms. The rooms were large and comfortable. Well stocked. Many pools to choose from. All swim up bars/pools are adults only. Lots of activities to keep people busy throughout the day. Food was delicious. Multiple restaurants that do not need reservations which was great! Staff are extremely attentive. The beach was off limits and were not allowed in the ocean due to the strong waves. Disappointed but that’s not an issue with the resort. This is just to give you a heads up. Lastly, do NOT take taxis anywhere. Order an Uber. So much cheaper! "

"Not so much for teenagers. Lots of families with young children. Hotel was super-clean, although we got back from a day out and the room was still not clean on a couple of occasions. Breakfast and lunch buffet were great. Hotel staff were friendly. However if you don't have younger kids, would not recommend. "

"This is my third time at this resort and every time has been great. Honestly, the food is average but who goes to a sun destination for the food anyway. It's all about the sand, sun, and relaxation and this resort delivers. And it's close proximity to 2 major parks(Xplor and Xcaret) cut our travel time down huge so we could spend more of our vacation enjoying everything else! This resort is great for girlfriends, couples and families add there is something for everyone to enjoy. And it's jungle environment means you are immersed in nature and not packed on top of one another. "

"My family and I stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed the week. Very friendly staff and great service. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bed was good but pillows were a little thick but luckily with 4 to choose from my wife and I had a pillow that was soft enough to be comfortable. We didn't spend any time at the adult pool except for walking by. Pool looks very clean and there is music, games, water arobics and some backyard games for both kids and adults on the side. We spent our days playing in the BEAUTIFUL blue ocean water and enjoying the soft white sandy beach with a bar within 10 seconds of where the beach chairs are located. Beach volleyball is alot of fun on the beach. I wish my kids were still under 12yrs old because the kids pool area looks like alot of fun. Makes me excited to be a Grandpa in the next few yrs. Unfortunately waiting in lines for meals is something we weren't really ready for. We are use to bigger resorts with little to no waiting. The food was good. The bar tenders are very good and quick. A few tips and they already know what you want when they see you coming. Nightly entertainment was downstairs and inside an auditorium and we didn't want to be inside. The bar has live music but we really enjoyed the patio looking out over the adult pool area. 24/7 coffee shop was nice. Lots of options and they make great sandwiches."
