Whether it’s a romantic honeymoon, a fun-filled family holiday, a relaxing getaway or an active adventure you’re after, this lush Hawaiian island is sure to please!

Renowned for its pristine beaches and sparkling waters teeming with colourful marine life, Maui is the ultimate tropical holiday destination. This exotic oasis is the perfect spot to escape the stresses of everyday life and indulge in some truly spectacular scenery as you relax on one of the island’s many beaches. Treat yourself to a stay at one of Maui’s first-class resorts and see how the other half lives at Kaanapali Beach, a former retreat for the royalty of Maui.

Those seeking something a little more energetic won’t be disappointed as Maui offers a plethora of outdoor activities that are sure to get those pulses racing. Winter is the perfect time for a spot of whale-watching so if you’re travelling from Maui’s capital Wailuku, head west towards Lahaina for a glimpse of these beautiful creatures. Surfing enthusiasts should make a beeline for Honolua Bay in the northwest where the waves are huge and the professional competitions fierce. The summer months are the best suited for delving deep into the turquoise ocean for some snorkelling at Kapalua Beach.

Families will find themselves well catered for in the south of the island with a number of family-friendly beaches offering something for the kids, such as Keawakapu Beach. The little ones will also enjoy Maluaka Beach and Wailea Beach where they keep a watchful eye out for the hundreds of green sea turtles that dwell in these waters.

If you still haven’t found the beach you’re looking for, then head to Makena State Park which contains three scenic wildland beaches, surrounded by impressive sand dunes, or embark upon some scuba-diving off the half-moon-shaped volcanic crater of Molokini. For scenery that is simply out of this world, take a drive around Maui’s eastern coast a long, winding serpentine route that slinks around corners and across bridges with spectacular views of the ocean on one side, and plunging waterfalls on the other.

The best way to reach Maui is to fly into Honolulu International Airport so pack your bags are visit this dream destination that has something for everyone.
