Absolutely unacceptable. Worst stay I’ve ever booked through Expedia.
I’ve been a loyal Expedia customer for nearly ten years, and this is by far the most frustrating, mismanaged, and unacceptable experience I’ve ever had.
1. Total failure by the property manager
The property manager failed to inform the front desk of our arrival. Because of this negligence, we were denied access to the unit we had already paid for. Past midnight, we were moved to a different unit in another building. A unit that was filthy and crawling with cockroaches. This is not a minor oversight; this is a basic failure of hospitality.
2. No disclosure of a scheduled power shutdown
There was a scheduled electricity and elevator shutdown on 11/19, with notice sent to the property manager on 11/11. We were staying on the 21st floor, yet no one informed us in advance. No warning, no courtesy message, nothing. Had we known, we would have booked elsewhere.
3. Cockroach infestation
This was not a few bugs. The unit was infested, making it impossible to feel comfortable or safe. It’s shocking that a property in this condition is even listed on Expedia.
Conclusion
This stay was an absolute disaster. Between the negligence, lack of communication, and disgusting unit conditions, this property should not be operating let alone advertised on Expedia. This is the worst experience I’ve had in my decade of using this platform.
