"Very clean room with an amazing view. Right on the river and over the bridge is straight into town. Loved the balcony bar, drinks were a little expensive in hotel but the view made up for it. Pool and hot tub were very clean a little dated but didn’t matter. Bed was so so comfy and room was always warm and very Cosy. Reception staff always there for anything needed. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be back "

"Little issue with getting wrong room when we got there was fixed quickly. Be warned there is no lift and quite a bit of stairs, was fine for us. Breakfast buffet was really good with all the parts of an English breakfast. We walked to downtown Carlisle easily. Excellent Sticky Toffee Pudding in hotel restaurant. "

"The staff were lovely The public toilets were very smelly. The rooms needed tlc especially bathrooms Horrendously uncomfortable bed and pillows. Strong smell of cleaning fluid"

"Everything was very clean and the property is beautiful. It’s nice to see a place maintain the original design. The carpet in the room was looking a little tired but not too bad. "

"Great Hotel, really friendly staff, meal choices good. Parking is a bit restricted and tight albeit there is a public car park next door, whicjh I didn't need to use.Chris when serving us was outstanding. Will use again, highly recommended"
