"Top quality hotel in a brilliant location, absolutely loved it here. We didn’t find a better bar to have a drink in or a better restaurant to eat in, all perfect… with a wonderful view over the lake too! The leisure facilities really helped too, the pool was a proper pool you could actually swim in! My only (very slight) observation might be that it did look a bit tired in places, with a bit of paint peeling off here and there."

We tried to get a light dinner (or "snacks" as they called it) but we could not get anyone to help us (despite being told where to order it) so we ended up going out to eat. The breakfast was pretty good though. The staff at the front desk were not very friendly but they weren't terrible. I would recommend this place because of its physical beauty, despite the less than optimal staff members."

"Our room was excellent very quiet with lovely comfortable bed, nice bed linen, towels and plenty of tea&coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious. We ate evening meals at the hotel which were homemade and great quality and reasonable price. New owners have taken over hotel just over 2 mths ago and we found them to be very friendly, welcoming and hard working. They're improving the hotel with new decor and have great attention to detail so I'm sure once finished it will be amazing. It's location is...

"We were returning customers to Low wood bay @ the winander club. We were slightly disappointed to see that spa access was no longer included in Winander rooms but it is a beautiful spa, so we paid the extra £140. We were disappointed to find out if you wanted to borrow some slippers for the spa, they were also chargeable now. And on check out I was very shocked to see they were also now charging £12 per day to park your car if you hadn’t booked directly with them. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed...
