"Clean hotel which is ideal for anyone fell walking or just walking down the Borrowdale valley, wonderful views out to Derwent water , gardens well maintained with a lovely outdoor area next to the river, hotel as squeeky floor boards but only due to the age of the building so can’t be helped, breakfast buffet well stocked with decent quality foods, just a couple of negatives, the extraction fan in our bathroom, room 26 was not working and in the downstairs men’s toilets a strong urine smell both of which could easily be improved. I would definitely stay again"

"Do not hesitate to book this lovely guesthouse. Could not fault a thing. The owners Jon and Emma were so welcoming and very helpful. Very dog friendly. The breakfast was delicious. Will hopefully be booking to stay again."

"The staff make you feel so welcome when you arrive and throughout your stay. Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is delicious with several options for hot food and a buffet of cold food. Lovely views from the dining room too. We missed the free afternoon homemade cake the first day so they made my husband gluten free flapjacks and put them on our breakfast table the next day. They were fully aware of coeliac disease. It is a pleasant walk into Keswick although a few hills. There is free parking at the hotel. I would have no hesitation in booking the hotel again, although next time I would book a larger room. We stayed in room 2, which had a bath and a hand held shower attachment, which may not be suitable for people with mobility issues."

"We have visited this hotel over the last 10 years. They have upgraded it to a lovely standard in the bar, dining room and bedrooms. The food is amazing. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Some corridors and main reception are slightly dated and need updating."

"Room was clean but a bit dated. Breakfast was great with a good selection of options. Look out for the little alley to take you upto that car park. Staff were very pleasant and helpful."

"This is a very good B&B for a travellers rest. We had a very clean and quiet room and the B&B is very well located close to the centre of Keswick and all it has to offer. The breakfast was excellent and the hosts are welcoming and friendly."
