The staff were very attentive and efficient. The room was delightful and clean. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious with my dietary requirements well catered for.
Our daughter got married here 21 years ago when the hotel was warm, welcoming, full of character and very much Lake District at its best. Now its soulless, clinical and nothing to make it any different from other hotels who have gone up market and are totally lacking Cumbrian atmosphere. You will probably be successful because you are catering for trendy people, who fail to see what the Lake District is all about.
We had a wonderful stay at the Daffodil hotel, we were made very welcome, it was our 50th wedding anniversary, and there was a lovely surprise left in our room of a card and chocolates
Huge room and huge en-suite. Great lake view. Good night's sleep. Will go again.

Staff were lovely. The room was gorgeous, clean and had spectacular views of the valley. However, the spa facilities were highly disappointing: broken sun loungers, half the jets weren’t working, black mould visible and a pool you can’t swim lengths in. We didn’t eat in the restaurant as the prices were extortionate. For the price of the hotel, we expected a lot more than we did. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
The hotel was perfect, staff were very friendly and approachable, and the room was immaculate.

Spa relaxing. Food good though some was overpriced for the quantity. Burgers and fish large portions though the lamb very expensive and only a small portion.
A very clean hotel and very friendly staff.
Great time and a beautiful little village of Grasmere. Only headache was our safe had a malfunction and wouldn’t open while our things were stored in it but thankfully the staff was able to sort it out. Lovely resort and food was delicious.
The hotel rooms were amazing, huge bed and big bathroom plus lovely views. The breakfast and drinks on the terrace were superb. Great location for exploring the lakes. Staff were all lovely!
