"It had been a while since we stayed here, check-in was quick, smooth, and the receptionist gave clear instruction and advised we'd get a bottle of wine as VIP, so we booked a table in their restaurant and said we'll have the wine with our meal. We went to our Tower suite, unpacked and went to relax a little on the sofa to find a few stains on the seat cushion, so didn't make use of the sofa. The bed area itself was pretty clean as was the bathroom, it was just like they'd forgot about the living area. Dirty wine glasses, clearly had remnants of red wine left in them with rings on the surface when picked up. Tea tray wasn't fully stocked, all of these little things were not like the usual high standards we'd come to expect. We mentioned this to the staff on the way to dinner and they couldn't have been more helpful, they cleaned the sofa and stocked the tea tray and left 2 clean wine glasses on the table (although the dirty ones were still in the cupboard). The lady was very apologetic and did get things sorted, thank you. Service at dinner was very slow but this was due to there being only 2 servers covering the restaurant and bar area, both of which were probably just a little too busy for them. That said they did a great job and worked their socks off to make sure everyone was happy. The lack of staff and cleanliness tainted what is ordinarily a fantastic stay at a great hotel. Such a shame."

"My fault entirely for not staying at a more airport based hotel We chose this hotel so we could do a bit of swimming before heading away for the weekend The pool is advertised at closing at 1030 but when we arrived the lady checking us in said last swim for children was 7 It’s not easily visable - the key information you are sent on the hotel says 1030 so my teenage son and I couldn’t swim The bathroom doors aren’t soft close they spring shut very loudly o sorted this by putting a towel inbetween the door sadly my neighbours didn’t do the same Talking of neighbours the walls are super thin and the people in the room next to us was having a party - lots of people lots of noise 2 noise complaints were raised but they still want on until 330am less then ideal when im up at 6am for a flight The lady on check out was nice and did apologise I just think for what I needed for the airport I should have just stuck with the premier inn by the terminal and not try and go “nice”!"

"We stayed in a family room and to be honest it was completely run down. There were water stains on the walls which looked like there was a leak. Only 2 out of 4 of the lights worked. And the 2 that did had different coloured bulbs in. The bathroom was clean however the bath panel was awful and needed replacing and the shower was a nightmare to try and work. The room overall really needs updating. We felt like because it was a family room it had just been out at the back of the hotel and neglected. Breakfast was okay. They had our jam out instead of ketchup and the eggs were very greasy. We wouldn’t return which is such a shame as the hotel itself looks lovely as soon as you walk in."
