"Sadly there are lites of negatives: You could write your name in the dust in the bedroom and the bathroom towel rail is thick with dust. The shower head in the bathroom doesn’t stay up. There are no pictures on the walls in any of the rooms and no soft furnishings so it’s unwelcoming and bare. The furniture in the lounge is old and tatty and worn. The walls/skirting boards are dirty and need painting, one of the sofas in the lounge is filthy. The garden furniture is old and tatty and nothing like the picture advertised. The patio doors have no safety stickers on them ( H and S???) which would be high risk to children. The carpet in the hallway is old and tatty and outside needs attention. No toiletries provided and no spare toilet roll. No complimentary tea/coffee/sugar, the only thing provided in the kitchen is an old tub of table salt! All in all we were extremely disappointed and would not recommend to friends or family. Positives - fairly new kitchen and bathrooms that were clean. Fabulous location close to the beach. Parking for 1 car."

"Enjoyed our stay at such an iconic hotel. Will definitely stay again and looking forward to seeing everything fully refurbished. Had great view of estuary from our room. Staff all lovely and helpful. Breakfast was very nice, great choice available with lovely sea views. Lovely bar area, again with great views, nice to sit and chat late into the evening."

"This hotel is lovely. The decor is beautiful and the rooms are stunning. The only niggle we had was that the bathroom didnt have a shower (it had a beautiful freestanding bath and gorgeous period features) but if you wanted to get up and out the door you need the shower. Breakfast menu and other options were of a high quality. Loved the fact you could boil your own eggs! Just some really nice touches. Would stay again if I find myself in Falmouth. "

"Hotel room have beautiful sea view and breakfast is simple but delicious. Walking around 10 minutes to high street. Hotel location is good for regional scenic places. Around 1.5 hours driving distance. Staffing is helpful."
