We've stayed at the Greenbank multiple times over the past couple of years so I feel like I can give a fair review of a typical experience.
The staff are an absolute highlight: always friendly, polite and professional, from the desk staff to the restaurant staff to the cleaners. Nothing is too much trouble.
The rooms are generously sized and equipped with everything you might need for a standard stay, plus a few nice extras. I particularly appreciate the wonderful smelling toiletries provided, the big, fluffy towels and the decent selection of teas and coffees. The mini fridge is a nice touch, and my partner appreciates the coffee machine. The bed is comfy and noise from neighbours/corridors is never too intrusive. Plenty of storage space is provided, as well as hangers. The water runs hot and the shower is powerful, what's not to love.
The included breakfast is outstanding. Again, nothing is too much trouble, reasonable requests are accommodated, service is efficient without you feeling rushed and the view is fantastic. The food is great quality too, with locally sourced ingredients where possible, cooked to order.
My only slight complaint is that a little more attention could be given to room cleanliness; things like toothpaste splashes up the walls, hairs left in the shower and visible dust on fixtures over multiple visits aren't a deal-breaker, but don't fit in with the otherwise outstanding experience I've had at this hotel.
Would definitely recommend overall.
