A different B and B

The accommodation consists of a bedroom, bathroom and a sitting room--that is what each booking receives for their sole use--rather than just a bedroom.

excellent stay

excellent stay Jackie could not make you more welcome nice rooms two nice bedrooms lounge and bathroom very comfortable . Nice breakfast nothing was to much trouble for Jackie and he husband would definately stay again. you certainly get a very warm welcome

Excellent place to stay!

Pleasington Suites is close to everything in Douglas! I really enjoyed my stay. Jacky and her husband (the proprietors) are wonderful. They gave me some good tips on things to see on the Isle of Man. My room was spacious (I even had my own sitting room!) and comfortable. The WiFi is excellent and the TV had lots of channels. I highly recommend Pleasington Suites!

Good choice

My husband and I stayed in the top floor suite (two bedrooms, a sitting room and a full bath) for three days while I did some work and he went birding. The proprietor is great, accessible and kind, the breakfasts could be completely tailored (I had porridge while my husband had kippers) and the glancing contact we had with the other guests (there are two other suites) was pleasant and not a horrible trap as it can be at a B&B.

Schöne Suite in Stadthaus in Fussnähe zum Zentrum

Wir haben eine Woche in den Pleasington Suite Nr 3 verbracht. Die Suite umfasst 2 Schlafzimmer, 1 Wohnraum und 1 Bad/WC. Die Suite ist gediegen und geschmackvoll (Ton-in-Ton) eingerichtet. Die Qualität der Betten ist ausgezeichnet. Trotz der Lage an einer befahrenen Straße ist die Suite angenehm leise (gedämmte Fenster). Wegen Aushändigung einer speziellen Parking License durch die Inhaberin kann man auch gut vor dem Haus parken (ansonsten strikte Parkscheibenzone). Absolut überwältigend ist die Freundlichkeit, Zuvorkommenheit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Inhaberin. Wir können uns hier keine Steigerung vorstellen.

We had a very pleasant stay at this guest house. The room was clean decor was slightly dated,it was nice to have the seperate sitting area. The breakfast was excellent. Jacky the landlady was very pleasant and helpful.

Friendly bed and breakfast

Very nice and friendly bed and breakfast, the hosts Jackie and Roy could not be more friendly ,the bedroom was comfortable with a lounge area. The breakfast was great with the full monty setting you up for the day, also Roy's kippers are recommended .

I booked this on previous ratings but was disappointed to see the room...it was like going back 20 years. From previous reviews I thought that this had had a facelift or been brought bang up to date...you get what you pay for I suppose!

A touch of the old world

Nice old B&B, owner friendly, but difficult to find the first time.No restaurants nearby,but a microwave supplied and a take away in the next block.Nice to have a seperate living room.

easy walk down to the beach

The acccomadation is at the top of a big hill.but there are buses that go from lord street through the town along where woodbourne road joins york road. Get off at the bus stop just before the lights. walk down york road and you will be at the top of drury terrace. we chose not to take our car and flew in from gatwick. ! hours flight. Bus services were great and its a good central location easily accessible.to resorts around the island.. There are some lovely places to walk too. Jacky was so nice she lets you choose what time you want breakfast and what you want. whether its cereal or cooked or both. we were very lucky. This was our first vsit to the isle of man and jacky made it so homely. Thank you jacky. pat and doug 15th - 22nd may 2014

Lovely B&B

Travelled for 1st time to Isle of Man. Very impressed with the island and all the things to do. The B&B was lovely. run by a very friendly and helpful couple Jacky and Roy. The "Full Monty" breakfast we had kept us going tip the afternoon and was delicious. All options were available if you didn't want a cooked breakfast. Local kippers were also available (and very tasty). Room very nice with ensuite wet room. The lounge in the room next door was lovely as it gave us somewhere else to sit rather than in the bedroom. Tea and coffee making facilities provided. We plan to return and stay again soon.
