"The staff at reception barely greeted us as we walked in, asked for the booking name gave us a key and that was it. The hotel itself and our room smelt like old smoke and really musky. Our radiator in the bathroom was leaking all red liquid across the floor, not to mention the horrible step between the bedroom and bathroom. Surprised we didn’t trip over it! The window was so old and was shaking constantly in the night due to the wind which also then made the door shake too so we didn’t get hardly any sleep! Definitely way too expensive, would not stay here again."

"Hotel in great location and room was clean and modern. Bar was good with a large selection of drinks and some food. Afternoon tea was great in the conservatory overlooking the sea front. I would definitely recommend staying."

"We had the most incredible experience at this hotel! We picked it to be close to the water within our budget and it did not disappoint. When we arrived, the man at reception upgraded us to a sea view room as a surprise! The room was big and clean and the proximity to the waterfront is unmatched. It’s about a ten minute walk from the Lanes and the Pier but being a waterfront walk we didn’t mind it in the slightest. This is the only place we plan to stay in Brighton moving forward."

"The property advertises free parking, which gives the impression of a car park, but I couldn't find it, and think it's on road parking around and about, which was absolutely fine. The building is, shall we say, a bit tired, but for what it offers, was very good. Clean room, clean bed, clean bathroom. No food Monday to Thursday but happy to receive orders via the delivery people. And don't rely on the wifi. It was pretty poor to be honest. But, for somewhere to stay for a night or two, it was excellent value for money. "
