It was my lack of research that I didn’t realise it was outside the centre of Brighton. The whole marina village area is quite soulless. However the rooms were super comfortable and quiet and you can catch the bus into town easily.

Two night stay in early April, had a balcony room overlooking marina and loved it. Weather was fantastic so could open up the bifold doors and really enjoy the sun. Had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent. There are certainly cheaper dining options very close by but
