"Overall a great stay"

"We've just returned from a 2 night stay at the Grandhotel Giessbach and wow, what a place! The hotel is certainly grand and is located in the most beautiful location I've ever seen, overlooking Lake Brienz with the Giessbach falls only metres away! The staff were all very pleasant, the breakfast was great, the bar was lovely, the Les Cascades restaurant was lovely, the surrounding park and trails were truly beautiful! However, my only complaint is that we had to pay 15CHF per night for parking....

"Le rapport qualité-prix n’y est pas. L’hôtel est parfaitement situé (au bord du lac), la chambre était spacieuse avec une excellente literie mais la salle de bain était vieillotte et les terrasses mal entretenues. Il faut payer de nombreux suppléments alors que le prix de base est déjà élevé (lit bébé, parking, eau dans la chambre,…). Le restaurant de l’hôtel n’est pas bon et le petit déjeuné très décevant."

"A good hotel for young families. They have a play area for young children, which our eight year old loved. The family room was nice and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good. Located outside of Lucerne city centre, it is well connected by frequent buses to and from the city. There's an Aldi nearby too."
