"Welcoming receptionist, easy parking, quiet room"

"The hotel is tiered. rooms need modernising. its a great building, lovely par 3 course but the hotel is living off past glory and needs a lot of work to bring it up to par. The pool, changing rooms and 'spa' needs an overhaul. Far from a spa experience. "

"I stayed here for one night as was attending a concert at BP pulse which is walking distance. Staff was friendly, really liked the lounge area, breakfast had a good variety. Rooms were good enough, perhaps could have been a little bit longer (I am 6 foot 3!) but overall, an excellent stay with no complaints. Good value for money, and would definitely recommend this hotel if anyone had to go somewhere near by i.e. Birmingham Airport, BP pulse or NEC "

"This would have got a 5 star review had there not been any redecorating going on, leaving corridors dark and smelly. Will be great at the end of it though. Standard room clean and spacious, large tv and immaculate bathroom. The shower was amazing. Ate and drank at the hotel. Food was delicious and drinks reasonably priced. Don’t forget to tell staff if you are staying at the hotel as you’ll get 25% discount on all food. Plenty of parking, free at weekends. Only there one night but a lovely stay. Will use again if in the area particularly if I can get it at the same price - £58 per room for a Saturday is an absolute bargain! "

"Only stayed for 1 night . Room was clean and staff very friendly . Booked an evening meal too and the food was very good . Only one thing to mention was the mattress could do with an upgrade. "

"Overall a good stay. Staff were lovely and nothing was too much bother. Food was exceptional and very good value. Parking was good ,easy and plenty of. The room itself was spacious ,very clean however a bit tired and needed some TLC and new more comfortable mattress and pillows. Overall I would recommend this hotel."

"Bancroft Hotel was a lovely place to stay, the bed was comfortable. The room was beautifully decorated to clean and tidy and had all the amenities you could think of available. Vikki was always on hand to help and pleasant to deal with. I stay two nights while attending a conference at the NEC Birmingham and cannot recommend enough the the short journey time but distance it gave me from the event."
