"It was nice that you can smoke outside, on the sides of the hotel, very convenient, the hotel has cameras outside so, that made me fell safe. Staff at the front desk was nice. The only thing that happened to me was when I was checking in I was told that I could go to have breakfast the first day, pay regular price and if I like it come back after breakfast and take advantage of the special price for the rest of our stay, we did it that way, but when I came back to the front desk the next day...

"This was our first time in Taipei and we absolutely loved our stay at the Taipei Garden Hotel. It was a true 5-star experience with clean spacious rooms, great views of the city, and extremely friendly & helpful staff. "We were not expecting this place to be as great as it is. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurants were unexpectedly good with great food and views of the mountain. The onsen was a great experience. Just be prepared to have your Western views about nudity challenged (the onsen is nude only. No bathing suits allowed). Just one thing, the staff will tell you the in-suite onsen takes 20-ish minutes to cool down to a temperature that won't scald you. It was closer to an hour. "
