"We had a wonderful time staying at the Ashbourne Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by Fiona. The house is absolutely beautiful and our room was so comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location in Fulford was perfect for exploring York, and we really appreciated all the helpful tips that Fiona gave us."

"I had such a wonderful experience. The room was very nicely decorated and top of the line. Everything was beautiful, clean, lots of amenities. I had a small accident and broke my foot, the hosts were so helpful and really went out of their way. Everything I needed was there and it was easily accessible to the city center. I cant wait to return. Top boutique hotel I've ever stayed at. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. I'm so glad I booked here! "

"Lovely hotel, great reception and room service staff. Friendly and very helpful. We had a king size courtyard room which was clean and had a fridge and kettle. Bed was comfortable and shower worked well. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Parking available at hotel but limited or car park at the Mount School which always had spaces. The walk into York took about 25 minutes. Only small criticism was the bar ran out of drinks including sauvignon white wine. Other than that...

"We stayed to visit the Christmas Market and found that everything was in easy walking distance there was lots of places to eat nearby and the hotel was very clean. "

"the room was really clean and the hotel was quiet, breakfast was good and lots of choice, however didnt think much of the menu choice for meals. I had a lamb shank but only got small piece of potato mash no veg which is unusual when you order and also not always keen on curries so better choice would be nice"

"I had a fantastic stay at The Apple House. The hosts and staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful with anything I needed. In particular, as I have celiac disease, it can sometimes be hard finding places willing or able to accommodate for a gluten-free diet. Not so with The Apple House folks, who made sure to make me a wonderful gluten-free breakfast each morning which was delicious, filling and didn’t leave me with any problems later on.
