"Fantastic break between Christmas and New Year. We stayed in the annexe across the road. Our room was dual aspect with a lake view. It was perfect for our needs for our two nights stay. Breakfast was very good. The location was close enough to stagger up the main road from Bowness without too much effort. There is a beautiful little cabin that they decorate and you can add stuff like chocolate covered strawberries, which are to die for. "What a fabulous place to stay in lovely Bowness on Windermere. Chris and Vicky are so friendly, they were so helpful and accomodating to any requests, communication prior to check in was superb. Our room was beautiful, a gorgeous view over Lake Windermere, wonderfully comfortable bed and pillows, fab hot shower, really clean and comfortable. "Have stayed at Briery Wood many times over the last 7 years or so. Consistently good, spotless bathrooms, fabulous breakfast and really excellent restaurant. Reasonably priced for the terrific standard. But the staff are exceptional. Friendly, professional and well trained.
