"I love and recommend the RIU! The staff, service, rooms are sooo excelent. My boys of the rooftop John, Francisco, José and William made my solo trip so good and chill. "The hotel was great! The location is prime, 2-min walk from Magnificent Mile and incredibly close to Starbucks Reserve and Harry Potter store. My only complaint would be the lack of soundproofing on the windows. The view from my room was non-existent (to the side alley and building) but the sounds of the city were very loud. Walls are also paper-thin, so it was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay, would consider staying again."

"We were initially booked at the main location on the River Walk, but we were then instructed that we would need to move to another nearby location upon arrival. The receptionist told us that the company intentionally overbooks its main location and reserves some capacity at other locations to entice customers. BE VERY WARY OF THE BAIT AND SWITCH. If you stay at this hotel (I highly advise against it), I recommend calling ahead to verify that you are actually booked at the correct location."
