"We had visited Whitney's Inn before and were aware it is currently transitioning to new ownership, which apparently aspires to revitalize the whole ski resort community. So we had reasonable expectations going into this. The property has certainly seen better days - our bedframe was literally caving in! But staff were friendly and willing to help make things right. We are midweek travelers so the place wasn't too busy. The adjoining Shovel Handle Pub is now open midweek so we were able to try it...

"This is the cutest little Inn. The owners are a sweet little family. Breakfast is out of this world! The Village Tavern in the basement has a Cheers feel with awesome staff and great food! 100 percent recommend! This is more than a stay, it’s an experience!"

"The hotel is clean and very nice. The rooms were spectacular. The food at the restaurant is awesome. Sunday night comedy very fun. The only drawback is Sundays and Mondays are closed. They ran out of ice. The first night we were there. The Internet connection is absolutely horrific was unable to watch TV for very long without it freezing up due to loss of Internet other than that the Belle hotel was a great place to stay."

"Really enjoyed the quiet at night. Lovely old place. Did have to put throw pillow & small blanket in closet-- didn't smell great. Bed was very comfortable ."

"The room was clean and comfortable. The service requests were answered by text. That did not make it more convenient, because after I phoned in a request for an iron, before I left, I still had to request an iron when I got there. Also the elevator was out of service or maybe there was no elevator and I had to carry my luggage up to the second floor after a long and exhausting flight. Food is excellent. Overall it was a great stay."

"Property was OK, although not a good value for the money. On the web, it looks like a quaint little wine hotel - reality is, not so much. Worst part is the giant TV blaring sports from breakfast until night time - the opposite of what a wine hotel should have."
