"Good stay at the Pear Tree Inn! Staff were great, calling me as I was arriving late and sending across a AVT invoice quickly (as there is no one there on checkout)! There is no hairdryer in the room - I didn’t realise this until the morning and there was no one downstairs to ask! "

"Positives - Exceptional staff - very hardworking and always happy to help when asked and answer questions. - Very Attractive and quaint period bedroom with a large spacious en-suite attached. - Comfy kingsized bed. - Traditional pub menu but super evening meal ( If you need to avoid salt, do mention it as potatoes are well salted.) and full breakfast with generous portions. "I stayed here when it was Theobalds Park and the hotel is going through a full renovation which can make the place look totally unfinished. The only negative was that there was no work desk in my room - but I was told that this is going to be rectified and most room do have a desk. I would definitely stay again "

"We found the staff were really nice and,friendly nothing was to much trouble for any of the girls maria was lovely every day we had breakfast she new what drinks we wanted also the blonde girl who was on the bar at night was great so was the other two girls but, we didn't know there names which was a shame because i could but, there names here food was good at night too so was breakfast the room were really clean we would go back there anytime if we were around ther part of the country"

"There was a bit of mould on the grouting in the bathroom and some paint touch-up is required on the heating pipe in the bedroom area. The sash window and frame could do with some sprucing-up and aircon in the room is required. I understand that it is a period building, but I like modern conveniences too."

"I have stayed at the Feathers several times and find it to be very comfortable with nice and friendly staff. The only downside is that sometimes the bed doesn’t get made although I have advised the staff and hopefully this will be addressed. Also the free wifi isn’t satisfactory as it drops all the time. All in all, I would still be very happy to stay there again in the future. A big plus is the pub which serves great food. "
