"The property is a nice size, not too large. I would not want to have a lagoon view, as that also means a highway view. The resort view and ocean views are lovely tho. The food was quite good, not excellent but good. The cleanliness was top notch, clean everywhere. Lots of beach chairs and pool chairs. However lots of sargassum- seaweed, on the beach. Not nice to look at everyday. An easy fix. Clean it up daily, the same as they do at other resorts. When we booked we were unaware that this property is a time share. Which is fine. It was lovely. But, there were many people that had to change rooms partway thru their stay. To me, this is the biggest deterrent for not booking again. "

"Our stay overall was ok, but there are a few details missing. Let’s start with the PROS: the staff was great! Super friendly specially at the front desk, very helpful, smiling all the time. The rooms are very nice. Very very clean hotel overall. We really liked that. Breakfast buffet is very good too. We had a couples massage at the spa and it was the best. Location of the hotel it’s also great, walking distance to the ferry if you want to take a day trip to Isla Mujeres. Entertaining in the hotel it’s also great, lots of activities during the day. The French restaurant to die for!!!! The CONS: I was very disappointed with the beach. To start, it’s a public beach and in between 2 docks that have people coming and going for tours. The service in the beach is also very slow. The buffet won’t open for dinner and the waiting time at the restaurants are an hour+ so we had to eat out most of the days. I recommend you make reservations around 5pm to eat around 7. The one thing I really didn’t like is the way the managed the security, instead of giving you a wrist band you are asked your room number all the time, if you get an uber it’s a pain, I recommend you wait out of the hotel instead having them coming to the main entrance, a few times for some reason my partner was not in the list and we had to wait outside until they confirmed he was staying in the hotel too.check out was fast in the front desk but the people outside lost out check out card and wouldn’t let us go. "

"Everything was great! Rooms were clean, staff were great, friendly, and very efficient. Food was really good as well and they serv pretty fast for a very busy place! They have a good system for buffet too. AC was good and working, views were great. The only thing that was disappointing was the wifi, most of the time we had no connection, and our last 2 days no wifi at all. "

"Just got back from a 5 night stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially for nightly diners for our large group, and drinks at all the bars. The food was really nothing to write home about, but edible. You must wear a wristband on this property and if you lose it or it comes off, you are required to pay $140 at checkout. This was definitely a negative for me, as I usually never wear anything on my wrists, was super worried about it, and can still feel it on my skin even though I’ve been home for over a day. The hotel itself was subpar, but we were told that this property is getting a total overhaul in a week or two, so hopefully it will look refreshed soon, otherwise I’d pass on staying here. There was a nice Cancun sign on a pier right next to the property, but we weren’t allowed to go on it to take a picture without being charged $3 per person (no way Jose!). A shame that the resort itself didn’t have some type of large letters to pose in front of as many other resorts do. The highlight for us was being able to attend the Riu Parties held at the Riu Caribe right next door (walk over) and have access to that resort, as it was much more modern and seemed to have many more amenities."

"This hotel is really good. The staff is amazing, Reina at the front desk, Claudia at the coffee shop and Chef Ernesto really tried their best to make us feel appreciated. I like the food variety at the Buffet. There are 4 restaurants and tge food was good. Overall everything was great. The only things I would improve are the recreation activities and the rooms need a makeover. However everything was cleaned. I strongly recommend this hotel"
