"Room was tiny, could hear through the walls of the next rooms and hallway. Queen bed was actually a double, king bed was 2 single beds pushed together, shower was appalling, water pressure and hot water was poor, no heat pump or reverse cycle air conditioning so beware stating in winter or summer, kettle did not work, furniture was cheap, breakfast was extremely overpriced $21 for cereal and toast "

"Liked the ambience of the buildings. Staff very helpful, had one meal in the restaurant that was disappointing at best,limited menu,over priced and over cooked. Shower very touchy even when following their instructions. Overall didn't reach our expectations."

"We were late and arrived after the reception has already closed, but the receptionist has kindly left us access to room keys This place is very close by the historic site and so it’s good for tourists The maintenance is fairly good, but overall the motor inn is relatively old, understandably from a historic site. It’s worth mentioning that the shower place is very very small and the shower itself not very friendly to use, there’s also only 2 in Won shampoo and soap so heads up."

"As seasoned travelers over decades, both within Australia and OS, we had high expectations for this 2-night stay which were not met, given the price point. This was not a cheap stay, but we were happy to pay for a different 'experience'. Nice area but! The obvious things included unlike what was advertised about "Free Wi-Fi. Available in the cottage" it didn't exist. We didn't even have mobile reception unless we walked to the 'Telstra pole' (their written advice in room) at next property where...

"Clean room and useful location. However confusion on booking due to sale of hotel last November by Travelodge to Mantra. They were u aware of booking commitment re breakfast and other offers made by Travelodge. They honoured breakfast but not all amenities after discussion. Ok stay nothing special - only benefit is proximity to airport."

"We loved our view of the river. Parking was good. Unfortunately we had a canvas awning or something flapping all night outside our room. I made the mistake of getting into bed with no light on....never again. I woke up to find blood on the sheets. It was also on my husbands side of the bed. Neither one of us had cuts on us. When I informed reception the man told me "Sorry maybe one of the Housekeeping staff had a cut on their hand. It made me feel sick knowing we had slept on someone else's ...

"The apartments were in a great location walking distance to Hobart CBD and also Salamanca Place. There are restaurants close by and parking on-site was free. It was in a quiet area and we had a very comfortable stay. Will recommend this place as a great place to stay in Hobart."
