"Just returned from our 6 day trip. 2 adults and 2 children. We stayed in the family selection. The good… -Lots of dining food options. -Access to all the property’s. -Pool right outside our room. The kids loved this. -Transportation around the resort. -Beautiful and clean resort. -The butler service. You text them what you need and boom it’s delivered to the room and you tell them what dinner options you would like for your stay on the first day and they make the reservation for you. -Pools are beautiful and not over crowded. -Love the swim up bar. -Staff was very nice and very helpful. - The Market comes every Wednesday and Saturday some local vendors. - They have a kids club though we did not use this. -Family selection had free water, drinks, and candy bar for the kids with snacks. -Water is filtered and completely safe. - Rooms were very nice and clean. Now the not so great. - When you arrive they try to set you up on a one hour tour and offer you all the Incentives. They pitch it as a marketing. A simple no thank you a few times did not stop the sales pitch. I understand this is their jobs and I respect that but it was a little much. - Beach was not something you wanted to swim in. Nobody was ever in the water due to the seaweed. Not resorts fault. Just a bummer. - Drinks were really weak even when asked for A double. I would recommend this resort and stay there again. Just maybe a different time of year due to the beach issue. "

"Internet , Staff , Bed Comfort and Amenities are all 10!!! Food I give a 6 . Had a great time the beach did disappoint us the area to enter on the resort so brown full of algae and felt like big stones at the button even with water shoes uncomfortable but again my trip was great "

"We have gone here 6 times . We brought our neighbours and their kids and they cannot get over the good and staff and resort. Renovated since we went . Shows are amazing grease, Micheal Jackson , light show. And craft market in Thursdays "

"Now this is the type of resort that means what they say: ALL INCLUSIVE. When I say that everything was amazing, it was--from concierge service (Francisco & Gerardo specifically) to room service (Lorenzo)to the dining options and customer service (Francisco that worked at Seaside Grill & Himitsu) to the entertainment provided by Lina. I HIGHLY recommend that when choosing your suite--get the swim out, you will NOT regret it! "

"I absolutely loved this resort. Our family stayed at a Dreams resort in the Dominican Republic last year, and we enjoyed that, but Catalonia was far better. Dreams was bigger, had a bigger buffet, no sargassum seaweed on the beach, and an impressive entertainment crew. But, it was the staff at the Catalonia that made all the difference. The people working there were just incredibly warm and friendly. They worked hard to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. After a week there, we felt like we were leaving friends behind. On the entertainment crew, Abraham really stood out. He brought the energy and the humor. At the Steakhouse, Prescilla was very sweet and funny while serving us. Arturo was our waiter at the Mexican restaurant where his smile and friendliness made us feel like we were his only table. Quetzabel greeted us warmly everytime we entered the buffet and really made us feel welcome and accomodated. And during lunch at Bikini Bites, Marcelino and Juan were a lot of fun and made the experience memorable. There were so many others who deserve mentioning as well, but who's names I failed to catch. As far as the more tangible elements of the resort are concerned, they were equally notable. The rooms were great and the housekeeping was excellent. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was inviting. Ironically, I found the buffet food better than the fine dining restaurants on the resort. In short, great resort, and frankly, a great value."
